Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The fish and chips here are consistently praised for their light, crispy batter and fresh salad. Many return for the Turkish breakfast, touted as a standout option that breaks the monotony of typical English breakfasts. The friendly service creates a welcoming atmosphere, making diners feel right at home. The scenic views of the sea add an extra layer of enjoyment during meals. Additionally, the cozy ambiance is perfect for all types of gatherings, fostering a community vibe that regulars love.

Most Disliked

Some diners mention the wait time for food during peak hours. On busy weekends, especially Sundays, service may get overwhelmed, impacting overall meal times. Occasionally, specific dishes may sell out, which can lead to disappointment for those hoping to try them. A few have noted that the pricing, while reasonable for the quality, may stretch the budget for some, particularly with families in tow. Though the restaurant strives to create the best experience possible, occasional noise levels during busy hours can interrupt conversations.

Over the years we eaten in most of the cafes/restaurants under the Arches but this seems to be the place we like to come back to the most. Their fish and chips is excellent with light crispy batter, fresh side salad and great chips. Small and cosy looking out to the sea. Service is always friendly and welcoming. We come back every time we visit and highly recommend. The fish and chips is excellent but we really must try the Turkish food on the menu that looks great too from the tables next to us.

I believe it’s the best place in the city! Amazing food, and view. The food takes a while to be prepared, but it’s super fresh! With well balanced spices. The gentleman working there is super charming!

Love this place. Perfect full English after a tough seafront run. Lady who works there right now is lovely, food is great.

This place is really cute, not least because the service is very welcoming and personable. Do yourself a favour and try the Turkish breakfast. It's great to see a place around here that does something other than variations on your bog standard English breakfast.

Probably my favourite place in The Arches! I just love the food - I always go for the Turkish Breakfast, it's insanely good. The variety and freshness is unbelievable and it feels lighter than an English breakfast. The staff are always friendly, and a great drinks selection. It gets busy quickly so you might have to book but it's so worth it. The Turkish twist on the menu as well as doing seaside faves makes it a unique place under The Arches. I'd go there every day for breakfast if I could!
